Formed in 1967 by ex-'Blues Project' member, Al Kooper, 'Blood Sweat and Tears' quickly became regarded as one of the most promising of all the late '60s rock bands. The pioneering fusion of jazz and rock captured the imagination of the critics and their first album Child is Father to the Man became a sleeper hit. Organist, singer, Kooper had insisted on the status of band-leader but the other band members wanted a committed lead singer and by the end of the decade Kooper had been replaced by David Clayton-Thomas. This DVD features archive footage of that reformed Blood Sweat and Tears line-up live at the Civic Theatre in Halifax, UK on April 9th 1980.
