Sidekicks The Movie captures the band live at The Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool in 1983, just as they exploded into wider fame with their album Quick Step And Sidekick and embarked on their remarkable '80's success. Included are spirited live versions of the hit singles 'Lies', 'In The Name Of Love', 'We Are Detective' and 'Love On Your Side'. The Thompson Twins (Tom Bailey, Alannah Currie and Joe Leeway) were one of the most successful Pop groups of the 80's, consistently hitting the charts both in the UK and in the US. The three piece were formed from the ashes of a much bigger version of the band and came together to produce the classic line-up in 1982. 'Love On Your Side' quickly became their first UK hit single.
Thirteen dynamic tracks from their 1983 stage show at The Royal Court in Liverpool. Features, among others, 'Tears', 'If You Were Here', 'Detectives', 'Beach Culture' and 'Love On Your Side'.
The Thompson Twins perform over a dozen songs on this concert release. The setlist features such fan favorites as "Love Lies Bleeding," "If You Were Here," "Lucky Day," "Beach Culture," and "In the Name of Love."
