| Originally formed as a counterpoint to New Edition, New Kids On The Block were one of the most successful boy bands of the late 80's and early 90's - selling 80 million albums worldwide. This live concert, filmed at Los Angeles Mayan Theatre in 1989, was the live version of their number one album "Hangin' Tough", and was filmed at the peak of a career when the band had two hundred thousand fan club members alone, and their hotline received one hundred thousand calls per week. The band split in 1993 - but have recently announced a full reunion - undertaking a massive tour of the US in summer 2009 and recording a brand new album. |
