| The Orchestrion Project was filmed at the former St. Elias Church in Greenpoint, Brooklyn in November of 2010. It features Metheny on guitar, performing with the Orchestrion, a vast collection of mechanical instruments that surround Metheny in this atmospheric setting. Focus of the DVD is the "Orchestrion Suite" a work written specifically for this combination and debuted on Metheny's "Orchestrion" album. Added to this are other tracks across Metheny's career, going back to "Unity Village" On disc 2, there is over an hour of bonus material, including the making-of the DVD. |
