| A 14-song set from the new wave band formed by ex-Ducks Deluxe leader Sean Tyla after his pub-rock pioneers split.The show features Ken Whaley(bass),Bruce Irvine(guitar)and Mike Desmarais(drums).Highlights include the Stiff Records single Styrofoam and Ducks Deluxe classic Fireball,together with new material recorded for Beserkley Records notably from their current album at the time,Moonproof.Sean Tyla is still active with a Tyla Gang line-up that includes Bruce Irvine on lead guitar and ex-Winkie Mike Desmarais on drums.Tyla Gang will tour mainland Europe in October/November 2014.They were extremely popular in both France and Germany throughout the Seventies,and they have not played in those territories for over 35 years,so this will be a much awaited tour.Informative booklet with liner notes by Will Birch,noted British journalist,broadcaster,author and expert on the Pub Rock and the Southend Rock scene.Incudes new quotes from Sean Tyla. |
