Recorded live at The Lighthouse, Hermosa Beach, CA on April 21, 1972. Remixed at Capitol Studios, Hollywood, CA.
Originally issued as a double album (BN LA 037). In order to allow the entire session to fit on one disc, four other song introductions by disc jockeys have been eliminated.
Originally a double album, this is one of only two recordings that captured this remarkably soulful artist live. With guests Gary Coleman, Wilton Felder and Bobbye Porter Hall added to the guitarist's regular quartet, this group locks into amazing grooves for extended versions of Neal Creque's "Windjammer" and Donald Byrd's "Fancy Free," among others. [Super Bit Mapping]
Includes liner notes by Bob Belden and Hank Stewart |
