Double Disc DVD in deluxe digipak & slipcase packaging
Filmed October 11/12 2005 at Park West, Chicago, on the Deadwing Tour, Arriving Somewhere captures Porcupine Tree in glorious 5.1 & stereo.
Porcupine Tree started out as an in-joke between Steven Wilson and a friend (early recordings were purportedly the back catalogue of a fictional seventies supergroup The Porcupine Tree that Wilson created) Almost 20 years later the group is a 100,000-selling band, selling out arenas across the world. Throughout this period they have evolved from a psychedelic solo studio project to one of the most revered live bands on the planet, releasing 11 critically acclaimed albums, a host of singles and various re-mastered and re-mixed reissues. Arriving Somewhere, however, is the band’s first DVD release.
Disc 1 (102:23 min.) features a concert recorded on last year’s world tour and includes classics from throughout this career. The second disc contains TV clips, photos and promos alongside the live films for "Halo", "The Start of Something Beautiful", and "Mother and Child Divided" made by long-time collaborator Laisse Holie.
