The Festival International De Jazz Montreal in 1986 continued to expand for its seventh edition, adding the most prestigious place des arts and four other major venues. For the first time in its history, the number of participating musicians reached the magical threshold of 1,000, and spectators had a daily choice of 25 indoor and outdoor performances. More than 425,000 music-lovers attended the festival's 1986 edition. The annual get-together was host to Antonio Carlos Jobim Along with Chet Baker, Astrud Gilberto, Paul Bley and Francois Bourassa. |
