Recorded in 1990, 'The Island' features Roy combining traditional and contemporary elements on concert favourites "Brown Skin Girl", "Anniversary Waltz" and "Equipoise", among other great tunes. Featuring smooth jazz innovator and bassist Marcus Miller, sax legend George Adams and latin percussion giant Jerry Gonzales.
