Supersonic Jazz provides early evidence that Ra is a primary shaper of the modern twists on traditional jazz that began to blossom in the 1960's. For example, the blues, "Super Blonde, " is swinging, yet gloriously unglued, light years away from the typical flatted-third blues cliches.
