The Ford family has the blues in their blood. In the sixties, the brothers Pat, Mark and Robben Ford were part of the San Francisco scene, and enjoyed the blues of the legendary Muddy Waters. Today, the Ford Blues Band, with its changing line-up, is an influential player in California- and on their tours of Europe they present their powerful, full-bodied blues rock.
Patrick Fords vision of a modern blues band brought to the stage.
Respect for tradition and receptiveness for new influences. For years now Patrick Ford has been performing and recording with a number of different blues artists. During that time he began to get ideas of his own as to what would make for a good modern blues band. As he produced more and more projects for Blue Rock'It and other labels, these ideas became clearer. Finaly, he decided that it was time to call together Ronnie, Mark, and Garth to help develop his Ford Blues Band concept. This 60-minute concert taped at Ohne Filter Studios in Baden-Baden Germany displays the Ford Blues Band in all of their glory.
