Jazz
Derived from a blend of sensuous Brazilian samba and cool American jazz, the music of composer Antonio Carlos Jobim speaks of beauty, heartbreak, and longing. The masterpieces here - including a moving duet with guitarist Pat Metheny, from Jobim's final concert appearance - are best heard in the wee hours of the night, when the magic of Jobim is its most seductive.
