British-born avant-garde guitarist Derek Bailey and Brazilian percussionist/composer Cyro Baptista had collaborated memorably both in live settings (their appearances at New York City's Tonic were near legendary) and on record (CYRO, 1987). This engaging album captures the duo's last live improv at Tonic before Bailey's 2005 death. |
