Second solo studio album for Dutch Rock ‘n Roll junkie and former Cuby + The Blizzards pianist
Herman Brood. ‘Shpritsz’ was the international breakthrough album for Herman Brood & His
Wild Romance backed by “The Bombita’s” (background voices). The first single from the album
“Rock ‘N Roll Junkie” became a small hit in the lowlands and Germany but the second single,
“Saturday Night” attracted attention from all over the world and became a worldwide release
including the U.K., Japan and the United States. ‘Shpritsz’ is recently (2018) chosen as one of
the best Dutch albums ever. The album cover, a painting after an Anton Corbijn photo was
chosen as one of the best Dutch sleeves ever.
