This is theoretically a pop album, a departure for Robben Ford. Of course we still hear the melodic leads and guitar work, Ford's signatures, but the bluesy songs are interspersed amongst the rest of the rock/ballad tunes. Ford takes some chances on this album by stepping out of his comfort zone and trying new things.
