This live recording lays out Shiver's gospel, straight ahead style, and a swinging good time from a great band. She pleases the fans with many of her most popular song presentations. Not long after opening up the dream of a new restaurant and jazz club in the historic town of North Bend, WA, Boxley's was primed for a 'test recording.' Karen Shivers had been lighting the Saturday crowd on fire all month. It was a swingin' good time - and a lot of it made it onto this recording, crowd and all. The 'test' captured so much of the excitement that we had to put it out. |
