Over the years, Chanticleer's repertoire has expanded to embrace everything from Gregorian chant to vocal jazz, gospel, and venturesome new music. The ensemble has never left its roots, however, returning often - as with this recording - to the early music that established its reputation as "an orchestra of voices." This disc is Chanticleer's tribute to the many early compositions dedicated to Mary, Mother of God.
