Bach's popular setting of the Magnificat and the less familiar Mass in A major, written at about the same time, are heard alongside two of Bach's sacred Cantatas: "Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen" and the well-known "wachet auf ruft uns die Stimme." The program is completed by the evergreen Air from the Orchestral Suite No.3, organ solos play by Stephen Cleobury and Chorales and Motets sung by the choir with organ accompaniment.
