Recorded May 23, 1955 in Chicago

Ahmad Jamal was still a young man when he recorded these sides in 1955, but his subtle and delicate style had already set him apart from the jazz piano mainstream. This LP, long out of print, is an outstanding showcase for a musician who would influence not only his fellow pianists but also Miles Davis, Gil Evans, and countless others.
