Tenor saxophonist Ed Wiley, Jr.'s second album on Swing Records pays tribute to the African-American music continuum, from spirituals to bop. Recording includes the classic Negro spiritual, "Go Down Moses," and an emotional solo rendition of "Nobody Knows." The title track, "In Remembrance," written by Wiley, captures the essence of Black struggle. Also includes Charlie Parker's up-tempo be-bop tune, "Shaw-Nuff."
