A nice mid-'80s session with the relaxed, fluid guitar of Jimmy Raney playing such standards as "The Song Is You" and "Tangerine." He's supported with style by pianist Kirk Lightsey, who emerges as the date's other dominant solo voice. The other musicians, bassist Jesper Lundgaard and drummer Eddie Gladden, are complementary figures and do their jobs competently.
