The tour was headlined by Necrophagist (Relapse Records) and supported by some of the biggest names in the death metal and grindcore scenes: Decapitated, Cephalic Carnage (Relapse), Cattle Decapitation (Metal Blade), Arsis (Nuclear Blast), As Blood Runs Black (Mediaskare), The Faceless (Sumerian), Ion Dissonance (Century Media) and Beneath The Massacre (Prosthetic Records). The Summer Slaughter Tour features extremely rare performances from all of the artists live at The Opera House in Toronto, Ontario and also includes never before seen behind the scenes footage of the bands on the tour, including late Decapitated drummer Vitek Kieltyka which ended up being the last US tour the band did before he passed away.
