 Andrew Cyrille - Drums
Paul Dunmall - Tenor Saxophone, Bagpipes
 Henry Grimes - Bass, Violin

Henry Grimes and Andrew Cyrille are legendary, having been pioneers of the 1960’s free jazz movement. In the ‘60’s, Grimes and Cyrille propelled two Cecil Taylor Blue Note albums, Unit Structures and Conquistador, to their majestic heights, and the two have toured extensively together in recent years, but this is their first recording together since Grimes resumed musical activity in 2003. Cyrille has shaped and reshaped the music for over forty years with his multi-timbral elegance and consummate precision. Multi-instrumentalist, educator and composer Paul Dunmall harnesses the power of deep blues and “New Thing” fury. Henry Grimes brings an intensity to the bass which is seldom heard.
